Mantle – The Annual Review of Interdisciplinary Research is an international, open-access, student-led, and externally peer-reviewed online journal of the Interdisciplinary Studies Graduate Program (ISGP) at the University of British Columbia. We are currently looking for senior PhD students (PhD 3+), post-docs, fellows, and faculty members/attendings to serve as external peer reviewers for our journal.
Mantle receives submissions from scholars and researchers working in an interdisciplinary manner from their ‘home’ faculties and departments as varied as the arts & humanities, social sciences, engineering, forestry, education, business, nursing, library, music, medicine, law, public policy, applied sciences, architecture, first nations and indigenous studies, social work, pharmaceutical sciences, graduate and postdoctoral studies, etc. All articles published in Mantle speak to issues and perspectives that involve at least two disciplines in a unique and unconventional style. As such, we welcome peer reviewers of all backgrounds and research interests.
By participating as a reviewer, you will be added to our database of peer reviewers. You will be invited to review articles that match your research interests and expertise. You will receive an email with the title and abstract and an option to accept or decline the invitation. Reviews are generally expected within 4 weeks.
As a reviewer, you will be contributing to the early career development of graduate students who are producing ground-breaking research. They especially need their work to be validated given their unusual projects that refuse to be confined within traditional disciplinary silos. PhD students/post-docs/fellows/residents will equally gain useful experience completing peer review.
